JOYup How-To #4 | How to Check Your Child’s Progress in JOYup

October 6, 2026

Learning progress is easier to support when you can actually see it.

The Results section in JOYup gives children and parents a clear overview of what has already been completed, which language skills are being practised and what comes next.

In JOYup How-To #5, we show you how it works.

See the whole learning journey

The Results screen brings the most important progress information together in one place.

You can see what your child has already completed and follow their progress toward upcoming lessons and units.

This makes it easier to understand where they currently are in the course instead of looking only at individual exercises.

Track different language skills

JOYup separates results into several areas:

Games – progress and results from game-based activities

Tests – completed test activities and results

Speaking – progress in spoken English practice

Listening – activities focused on understanding spoken English

Reading – reading practice

Writing – written language activities

Total – an overall view of learning progress

This gives a broader picture of learning than a single score.

See what is needed for the next lesson

The Results screen also shows progress toward unlocking the next lesson.

Children can see how much they have already completed and what still remains.

This makes the next goal clear and gives them a visible sense of progress.

Follow units and course levels

You can also see progress through the units of the course.

If your child uses more than one course level, simply switch between them to check the results for each course separately.

Check points and scores

Want to see more detail?

Tap an individual result to view the points and score connected with that activity.

This makes it possible to look beyond the overall progress and see how your child is doing in specific areas.

Use Results as a conversation starter

The Results screen can also be useful for parents.

Instead of asking only:

“Did you do your English today?”

try looking at the progress together and asking:

“What did you practise today?”
“Which activity did you like most?”
“Shall we practise speaking together?”

A few minutes of interest and encouragement can help children see their progress and stay motivated.
